  • What area do you serve?
As Kinoshita Confections is a one-woman business, I am exclusively serving the Portland-Metro area.
  • How much should I expect to pay for your services?
Put simply, a cake/dessert's total price is dependent on several factors: time required for production from scratch, cost of ingredients, and size of the order. Additional factors include: extra flavors, special dietary requests, and custom designs. I am more than happy to provide free estimates, so please do not hesitate to reach out and get in touch.
  • How long in advance does an order need to be placed?
Please allow 2 weeks notice for your order. This will allow me adequate time to plan, practice, and perfect your order. If your event is under 14 days, I may not be able to accommodate your request. Regardless, please do not hesitate to contact me for any order inquiries. I will do my upmost to accommodate your needs for your special event.
  • Why is there a non-refundable deposit?
I completely and totally understand that life happens and cancellations happen. However, even if I haven't started baking your order, I have put in time and effort in your request. If the deposit has been paid and the order has been booked on my calendar, I could potentially turn down other orders. Additionally, the deposit also covers my time spent replying to emails, shopping for ingredients, and doing online research.
  • What form of payment do you accept?
I accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.
  • Why was my order declined?
As previously mentioned, Kinoshita Confections is a one-woman production, which unfortunately means that I may not be able to handle a large workload. I will do my best to maintain an open schedule and healthy workload management, but some scheduling conflicts are beyond my control. In such occasions, I will notify the customer as soon as possible to inform them of the status of their order. As such, a deposit will not be required and the order will not be fulfilled.
