What area do you serve?As Kinoshita Confections is a one-woman business, I am exclusively serving the Portland-Metro area.

How much should I expect to pay for your services?Put simply, a cake/dessert's total price is dependent on several factors: time required for production from scratch, cost of ingredients, and size of the order. Additional factors include: extra flavors, special dietary requests, and custom designs. I am more than happy to provide free estimates, so please do not hesitate to reach out and get in touch.

How long in advance does an order need to be placed?Please allow 2 weeks notice for your order. This will allow me adequate time to plan, practice, and perfect your order. If your event is under 14 days, I may not be able to accommodate your request. Regardless, please do not hesitate to contact me for any order inquiries. I will do my upmost to accommodate your needs for your special event.

Why is there a non-refundable deposit?I completely and totally understand that life happens and cancellations happen. However, even if I haven't started baking your order, I have put in time and effort in your request. If the deposit has been paid and the order has been booked on my calendar, I could potentially turn down other orders. Additionally, the deposit also covers my time spent replying to emails, shopping for ingredients, and doing online research.

What form of payment do you accept?I accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.

Why was my order declined?As previously mentioned, Kinoshita Confections is a one-woman production, which unfortunately means that I may not be able to handle a large workload. I will do my best to maintain an open schedule and healthy workload management, but some scheduling conflicts are beyond my control. In such occasions, I will notify the customer as soon as possible to inform them of the status of their order. As such, a deposit will not be required and the order will not be fulfilled.
